Founded in 1994, All About Wood Floors has been providing Sales & Service for all types of wood floors in the Savannah & Low Country areas for over 30 years. We specialize in Sales & Custom Installations of all domestic and imported wood species, Professional Hardwood Floor Refinishing and Restoration services for all Aged and Antique Wood Floors, as well as ongoing Maintenance and Cleaning. We started as a small family-owned & operated business and grew into a team of experienced professionals handling multitudes of projects large & small from as far south as the Golden Isles to up the coast North to Maryland. Concentrated in the Savannah / Hilton Head Area. What we call home. Back in the early years we had to sell a lot of jobs to keep all those team members busy. While it did help build a seriously long reference list and lifelong referrals we quickly leaned it wasn't how many jobs we sold to keep everyone busy and how quickly we turned them out to keep it profitable it was the meticulous attention to details, quality of workmanship, professionalism, & expertise put into each individual project that would build our business and keep clients coming back and referring us for years to come. Being the owner-operators we found ourselves with little time to be on-site as we grew and we felt that the personal investment in each and every project was where we had to get back to. So over the years we've scaled back on team members, rolled up our sleeves, and took on a more individualized approach to each project. This allows us to put more emphasis on focusing on each individual Client / Project and tailoring the experience to their needs. The length of the refinishing process will depend on the size of the area being refinished and the condition of the floors. Typically, the refinishing process takes between 2-3 days per room or area.
A complete sand and finish taking it all the back to raw wood typically takes 2-3 days for sanding preparations prior to stain and finish applications for each area. Finish completion time and cure time depends on the type of finishes being used.
